Mustang Athletics is an educational-based athletics program that provides a competitive and safe environment. Offering both individual and team sports to students in grades K-12, all students are encouraged to participate.

Joy (Ash) Gilliam (CIA '06) is currently a medical assistant and phlebotomist in San Diego, California and is starting nursing school. Joy was married in April 2011 to an SERE instructor in the United States Marine Corps.
Brandon Birckhead (WSN '01) is currently a medical student at the Mayo Clinic Medical School. He graduated from the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) in December 2011 as a Biological Science Major as the top graduate (highest GPA in the all science majors). Brandon will graduate from Mayo in 2016.
Mike Connelly (CIA '12) was recently honroed at Eckerd College with a writing award. Eckerd was being visited by the Pulitzer Prize-winning author Tracy Kidder. All the incoming freshman were assigned to read one of his books, Strength in What Remains, and write a report on it. Mike had the top essay in his Western Heritage class.
Matthew Friedman (CIA '11) is a brother of Delta Kappa Epsilon at Syracuse University. Matthew is currently in his sophomore year and is majoring in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises. This summer, he interned at Nitetrain Coach in Whites Creek, Tennessee.
Sam Heyman (CIA '10) recently returned from studying abroad in Bath, England. Sam is currently in his junior year at Denison University.
Lana (Huckaby) Cooper (CIA '11) recently welcomed a baby boy, Jack Alexander Cooper, in May. Lana is married to Stephen Cooper and resides in the United Kingdom where she has plans to return to school to study midwifery.
Franklin Pargh (WSN '99) and his wife recently welcomed a son, Benjamin. Franklin's realty business is going strong, and he hopes to take the broker's exam in the coming months.
Brandon Pearce (CIA '11) was a guest speaker at the Embracing Exceptionalities Southeastern disAbility Conference and Expo in Georgia from September 24-25, 2012.
Ben Rubbelke (CIA '09) is currently at Nashville State Community College taking online courses in webpage design.
Mari Leigh Scholes (CIA '12) was cast in Oliver! at Trevecca Nazarene University where she is currently a freshman. Oliver! is Lionel Bart's highly acclaimed Broadway musical based on Charles Dicken's novel, Oliver Twist. Performance dates are October 25-27 and November 1-3. Danielle Tannenbaum (CIA '07) graduated from Vanderbilt University in May 2012 with a degree in Special Education. Danielle is currently working as a special education teacher in Williamson County Schools.
Lindsay Small (CIA '11) was the only freshman credited in a recent Astro Club Exoplanet Project paper, "Near-UV and optical observations of the transiting exoplanet TrES-3b" that has been submitted to publication in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.
