IDEAs for the Future: The Currey Family IDEA Center

In early 2025, we will break ground on the Currey Family IDEA Center, a space where innovation knows no bounds, where creativity intertwines seamlessly with technology, and where every student’s potential is unleashed.

This transformative facility embodies our commitment to advancing education and innovation for students with learning differences.

Specialized Learning Hubs
The Currey Family IDEA Center will feature two large Learning Hubs, one for students grades K-6 and the other for students grades 7-12.  Each learning hub will be anchored by a connecting classroom intentionally designed to promote collaboration and facilitate problem-based learning experiences. Surrounding each collaborative classroom will be developmentally appropriate:
  • MakerSpace
  • Robotics Lab
  • Artificial Intelligence/Virtual Reality space
Professional Audio-Visual Facilities
There will be a designated Audio-Visual space adjacent to the 7-12 Hub. This space will be primarily used by students in cinematography, broadcasting, and performing arts classes and clubs, but it will also be available to all students via class projects, after-school activities, and summer programming.  The Audio-Visual space brings the amenities of a Nashville recording studio to campus and will include a video production room, studio live room, control facility, and sound isolation rooms.
