A private school in Brentwood, Currey Ingram Academy is committed to becoming the global leader for students with learning differences. Through evidence-based instruction, small classes, and exceptionally trained faculty, we meet students where they are and help them grow into who they are meant to be.
At Currey Ingram Academy, we believe that each student learns differently and must be taught accordingly. Each student has an Individualized Learning Plan that takes into consideration the student’s strengths, challenges, and academic performance. Performance levels of each student are identified within the curriculum standards for each class. As such, some classes have only two students, while others might have eight.
Our teachers use evidence-based instructional practices and present material through tailored, structured and multisensory approaches (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) to best meet the instructional and learning needs of our students. Through our very intentional and personalized approach to teaching and a nurturing school environment that encourages both academic learning and social growth, Currey Ingram gives students the tools to thrive and grow.
Each student has a faculty mentor, who serves as a role model, advocate, and motivator. The mentor’s presence and counsel aim to encourage students to reach their full potential. Mentors provide students with accountability and encourage them to achieve their academic, social, and personal goals.
